Educational Courses
Users can make their way through our variety of health and wellbeing courses (covering topics such as stress, resilience, burnout, movement, nutrition, mindset, long-term conditions etc.), earning certificates and achievements as they progress.
Why? Our courses allow users to improve on or revisit information that could benefit their health and wellbeing, particularly if they live with a long-term condition and are at increased risk of absenteeism/presenteeism. PHE (2021) found that 80% of adults surveyed wanted to make general lifestyle changes, but many felt unsure where to start and for those living with long-term health conditions, the 2024 GP Patient Survey National Report found that almost one third of people felt like they did not have enough support. According to PIF (2024), around 50% of adults struggle to find reliable health facts online.
Our courses allow users to improve on or revisit credible information that could benefit their health and wellbeing.
Nutrition and Fitness Resources
Users can make their way through our variety of nutrition & fitness resources (incl. general and long-term condition specific related resources) to build healthier routines and reduce lifestyle-related risk.
Why? Living a healthy lifestyle is incredibly important for longevity, general health and wellbeing, regardless of whether you live with a long-term condition. NHS England states that 80% of heart disease, stroke and type 2 diabetes cases and 33% of cancers could be prevented by following a healthy lifestyle. PHE (2020) found that 57% of adults wanted more advice on healthy eating and exercise and BHF reported that people take an average of 9 sick days/year due to inactivity related sickness. This can have implications for individuals, the NHS and also employers.
Our resources allow users to improve on or revisit information that could benefit their physical health, particularly if they live with a long-term condition and are at an increased risk of lifestyle related complications.
Mental Health & Wellbeing Resources
Users can make their way through our variety of mental health & wellbeing resources to support resilience and mood.
Why? According to NHS England, one in four adults experience mental illness. Poor mental health can affect sleep, social life, physical health, productivity and concentration, daily activities and more. The Adult Psychiatric Morbidity Survey 2014 also found that having a long-term condition was associated with lower levels of mental wellbeing. Mental-health–related absences account for almost half of all lost workdays (HSE 2023). Poor mental health costs households £43 billion a year in lost earnings (IPPR 2023) and costs employers £51 billion a year (YouGov 2023).
Our resources cover reflection, mindfulness, breathing and grounding activities and techniques. These can all benefit mental wellbeing. Good mental health is an essential part of health and wellbeing.
Downloadable Worksheets, Activities and Journals
Users can make their way through our variety of downloadable worksheets, activities and journals to help people apply learning and reflect on progress.
Why? All our resources come with downloadables for users to complete at their own pace. These help put what they have learned into practice and help them gain a better understanding of what is important to them and what works for them.
Goal Setting
Users are encouraged to set personal SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time-bound) goals throughout the courses and resources to create sustainable change.
Why? According to NHS England, setting and achieving goals makes us feel happier, more confident, and less anxious. SMART goals also help keep us on track and accountable.
Support Portal
Users can take advantage of direct access to a Health and Wellbeing Coach via our secure support portal. This is an optional service.
Why? Health and Wellbeing coaches can help users decide what matters most to them and how to go about achieving their goals. The 2024 GP Patient Survey National Report found that over 90% of people who discussed what was important to them with a healthcare professional and agreed a plan going forward found it helpful.
Through Wellbeing First, users can gain access to a Health and Wellbeing Coach via our messaging system. This can give users the added support and accountability they need to achieve their goals and live a healthy, balanced lifestyle in accordance with their values.
Elevate your users' confidence with Health & Wellbeing Coaching.
Health and Wellbeing Coaches offer non-clinical support to people who wish to actively engage with their own health and wellbeing. People focus on behaviour change and achieving self-identified goals. This is done through motivation, accountability and facilitated discussions around the topics that are most important to them. Health and wellbeing coaches are not able to diagnose or treat medical conditions. They also do not provide medical advice.
Health and Wellbeing coaching helps people to decide what matters most to them and how to go about achieving their goals.
This platform works to offer a holistic approach to your staff's health and wellbeing. This is done through access to our range of educational courses, downloadable resources and worksheets, Support Portal and more. Users are able to make their way through the content and worksheets at a pace that suits them and in a way that aligns with their goals.
